Introducing – RoomLinX, Inc – A Wi-Fi Innovator On The Move

Earlier this week, our sister site, Real Stock Discoveries initiated coverage on an up and coming company, RoomLinX Inc (OTC Other: RMLX). RoomLinX provides wireless internet to around 30,000 rooms in the US and Canada and is growing. That in itself is certainly interesting but without a “better mousetrap” the world isn’t going to beat a path to their door because they happen to provide superior service and are growing well in the market. The reason we like this company is because they have developed, in our opinion, that better mousetrap.

Over the course of the past several years, as more and more hotels started offering in-room wireless internet suddenly one of the chains got the idea of providing wireless internet access to guests for free. Well, the rest of the story isn’t hard to figure out, soon others had to match this policy just to stay competitive with the business traveler. This trend continued until now, according to some industry study, only 18% of the hotels still charge you to use wireless internet in your room. Interestingly, they are the more expensive hotels for the most part… go figure.

Naturally, this trend moved guest connectivity from the revenue to the expense column on the hotel’s profit and loss statements and opened the opportunity for someone to show them how to take advantage of the incredible power of technology and the internet and get this back on the revenue side where it belongs. That someone was Michael Wasik, CEO of RoomLinX. Michael had the idea for that “better mousetrap” and, according to the company, they are just putting the finishing touches on the software as of this writing. By combining a flat screen TV, a wireless keyboard and a set-top box, RoomLinX will enable the hospitality industry to turn internet access into a revenue generating asset. Just like the internet has proven the enormous economic value it possesses, hotels will be able to capitalize on this by providing content such as expanded availability of movies and games, advertising, shopping and a wide variety of services to their guests, each with the potential of increasing the hotel’s revenues and profits.

It sounds to us like this is one of those “right products and the right time” occasions and we’re downright excited to be involved with the company. You can read more about RoomLinX, which trades on the Pink Sheets under the symbol RMLX, at http://www.realstockdiscoveries.com.
